One of the largest manufacturers of furniture in North America, Shermag specializes in bedroom, bedroom for youth, dining room, sofas, accent furniture and gliders. They're proud of their veritical integration which means they own or control the manufacturing process from the forests to the customer's home. This lowers costs and allows Shermag to keep their own quality standards in place on every piece of furniture they make. Shermag is also proud of the concern they have for the employee workplace - a vital feature of any company in the Canadian market where business is plentiful and workers are not. Collections include 24 bedroom groups, 3 youth goups, 19 dining room, and a large collection of tables, entertainment centers and home office. The upholstery collection is limited in depth but since they are focusing on best sellers it should be possible to find something you like if you are working with basic designs and colors. They have just about one of the best websites I've seen in a while as long as you have a broad band connection. If you're still using a dial-up forget it.

A family company, Sicotte lamps was founded in 1948. Over the years, the company passed on to the second generation in the person of Fernand Sicotte. He associated himself with the Sylvestre-Saillant family in the 70s. The Sylvestre-Saillant family acquired the company in the 80s. Mr. Sicotte remained in charge of operations. The company became a division of Syldeco Canada Inc. in 1997. Syldeco Canada Inc. is a management and consulting company controlled by its founding president Michel G. Sylvestre.

Located in an 18,000 sq ft plant in Montreal, each lamp is crafted and assembled by hand of wood, metal, glass and marble.
