Top 10
Mid Level Furniture Brands

Ah the mid level. Comfortable and crowded. This is where the bell curve you learned about in high school math finally becomes useful. There are a tiny number of high end quality companies, lots of entry level brands, but even more companies in the middle competeting for the average buyer's dollar. Unfortunately.... there are mid level companies that are mid level in price only. They are the used car salespeople of the furniture industry. The sly ones who spend more money on slick advertising and brochures than they do on their furniture. The price tag says what a deal, but under the upholstery or under the chair is shoddy work or cut corners.

I know what you're thinking, "Could this really happen in the furniture industry?" Yes and yes! Sadly it's true. So here are my/our picks for the Top 10 companies who make it well and price it well.

CASE GOODS - bedroom dining room, tables, etc.

Stanley Furniture epitomizes the middle brand. Affordable to almost anyone who truly wants it, stylish and for the money as well made as anyone out there. It's easy to find Stanley Furniture in your area, and service shouldn't be a problem.

Who do you think should end up in the Furniture Magazine Top 10 Home Office category? Contact me and let me know. Tell me the category you're voting on. Why you think you've got a winner. If you're a decorator, designer or store salesperson and want your name and contact information published (free business!) let me know that too.
